You're invited: A Fall Home Refresh

Welcoming Fall with Cozy Comfort

As the "ber" months roll in—September, October, November—there's a noticeable shift in the air. The mornings get a bit crisper, the days a touch shorter, and suddenly, everything feels a little cozier. It’s the time of year when we start craving warmth.

There’s something magical about this transition. The world seems to slow down just a bit, inviting us to do the same. It's a time for reflection, for gathering with loved ones, and for creating spaces that feel like a warm hug. As we step into Fall 2024, we’re all about capturing that magic and bringing it into our homes.

Try our Soft and Chewy Molasses Cookies:

Ingredients:

  • 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cloves
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¾ cup unsalted butter (room temperature)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar (plus more for rolling)
  • 1 egg
  • ¼ cup molasses
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions:

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Mix the dry ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  • Cream the butter and sugar: In a large bowl, beat the butter and 1 cup of sugar until light and fluffy (about 2-3 minutes). Add the egg, molasses, and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  • Combine wet and dry ingredients: Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, blending until the dough comes together.
  • Roll the dough: Scoop out tablespoon-sized portions of dough and roll them into 1-inch balls. Roll each ball in the additional sugar until well coated.
  • Bake: Place the sugar-coated dough balls on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are set but the centers are still soft and slightly puffed.
  • Cool: Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a couple of minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

A Season of Comfort and Joy

As the cooler months begin to unfold, we encourage you to embrace the change in the air and bring a little extra comfort into your life. Whether it’s a new throw blanket, a set of candles, or simply rearranging your space to create a cozier vibe, small changes can make a big difference.
